Laparoscopic surgery

Laparoscopic surgery is also a common surgical method for removing tissue that has to be tested further (called a biopsy) or for removing an injured or sick internal organ.

Many illnesses that arise inside the belly or pelvis are diagnosed via laparoscopic surgery, particularly those that cannot be diagnosed using other non-invasive methods such as an ultrasound, CT scan, or MRI scan.

The following are the most prevalent medical conditions for which a laparoscopy is performed:

  • Gynaecology is the study and treatment of diseases that affect women’s reproductive systems.
  • Urology is the treatment of diseases of the urinary system.
  • Gastroenterology is the study and treatment of diseases of the digestive system.

Our Laparoscopic unit consists of:

  • Appendicectomy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Hernia
  • Diagnostic
  • Adhesiolysis
